Haunted : A Novel

Directions: Set your playlist on your iPod or MP3 player on random, then select 15 lyrics from 15 different songs that are random and post them here and test your reader's knowledge on music.

1. On a cartoon cat pad, she scratched with a pen "Everything is as it's always been. This never happened. Don't take it too bad, it's nothing you did. Just once something dies, you can't make it live. You're a beautiful boy, you're a sweet little kid. But I am a woman." So I lay back down and wrapped myself up in the sheet. And I must have looked a ghost, 'cause something frightened me. And since then I've been so good at vanishing.

2. You must remember this, a kiss is still a kiss, a sigh is just a sigh.

3. All is fair in love, and we're in love. Now that everybody's dead, we can finally talk.

4. I'm heaven sent. Don't you dare forget. I am all you've ever wanted, but all the other boys are promised. Sorry I told. I just needed you to know: I think in decimals and dollars. I am the cause to all your problems.Shelter from cold. We are never alone. Coordinate brain and mouth. Then ask me what it's like to have myself so figured out. I wish I knew.

5. Gold teeth and a curse for this town were all in my mouth. Only, I don't know how they got out, dear. Turn me back to the pet I was when we met. I was happier then, with no mind set.

6. Dear, I fear we're facing a problem. You love me no longer, I know and maybe there is nothing that I can do to make you do. Mama tells me I shouldn't bother, that I ought to stick to another man. A man that surely deserves me. But I think you do.

7. Your propostion may be good, but let's have one thing understood. Whatever it is, I'm against it. And even when you've changed it or condensed it, I'm against it. ... My son is right, I'm quick to fight, I'm from a fighting clan. When I'm abused or badly used, I always get my man.

8. Ten thousand miles northeast, I left all my friends at the morning bus stop shaking their heads. "What kind of life you dream of? You're allergic to love." Yes, I know, but I must state in my own defense: It's been undeniably dear to me, I don't know why, when every other part of life seemed locked behind the shutters.

9. That's the man she's married to now. That's the girl that he takes around town. ... Such a familiar name, I'm so glad my memory's remote.

10. My friend has my favorite teeth, they bend backwards when she speaks or whistles.

11. There's something wrong with the boy's head. I don't believe what the doctor said. I'm sure one day he'll come around, but he's so quiet now. And when all this talk is over about how I never spoke, then goodbye mr.good humor, now I'm just your joke. You made me, can't you see? I'm afraid of everything.

12. And it all breaks down at role reversal, got the muse in my head, she's universal. Spinning me around, she's coming over me. And it all breaks down at the first rehearsal, got a muse in my head, she's universal. Spinning me around, she's coming over me.

13. We filled our cups and lit one up, the snow began to burn. Maybe we were made, we were made for each other. Oh  is it possible for the world to look this way forever?

14. Sorrow drips into your heart through a pinhole, just like a faucet that leaks and there is comfort in the sound. But while you debate half empty and half full, it slowly rises, your love is gonna drown.

15. In a gadda da vida honeeeyy, don't you know that I love you? In a gadda da vida babyyyy, don't you know that I'll always be true? (this one is hard)

Execution of All Things

The top ten reasons why I would feel morally justified in burning Stuyvesant H.S.'s copy of The English Patient:

1. Using a seahorse as a metaphor for a penis is unconscionable.
2. Any discussion of the consumption of menstrual blood, especially in an erotic context, is uncalled for (not to mention unkosher!).
3. Call me a traditionalist, but necrophilia is not romantic in any context.
4. The phrase "hipbones of Christ" is disturbing enough on it's own, but even more so when used in a semi-erotic description of a burn victim.
5. Just because it doesn't make sense doesn't mean it's profound.
6. Just because you don't use proper grammar doens't mean you're artistic.
7. Canadians should write about Canadians, not about those of English, Indian, and perhaps Italian extraction.
8. Actually, Canadians who lack the ability to write should steer clear of the profession completely.
9. Hana is a whorrre.
10. And most of the sex scenes are physically impossible.

Ahhh.

finals ovverr :)
here is a summary.
spanish-- 1st day was easy, 2nd day was not but it was okay considering my lack of studying.
french--written by, proctered by, and graded by ms.lorenzo herself.
global--easyy even though i forgot king louis was and only talked about his wifey.
math--it'd take years of therapy to un-repress that memory!
compsci--my brother took all the computer genes in our genepool for himself!  psh.
chemistry--my favorite subject as always, you know me, chem whizzz. (another repressed memory)
math a--best test ever.

so after the math a regents yana and i went to a japanese place where she got something that looked very questionable, and then we went to dunkin donuts where i purchased a donut, and because there were no seats there we went to quiznos. we sat there for approximately 2 hours and talked about her love of mr.jaye among other topics.  we each ate two pickles; although they were not very good, at least they were free.

i think you are really fit, you're fit but my gosh don't you know it?

hi y'all.
i haven't updated in a while.
so i will now.

this weekend i went to laura's and em came over and  it was:
-inappropriate laughter
-"she had a horrible life..."
-shakira
-cheesecake
-Cheescake the chicken
-"...AND i was holding the condom"
-ept
-"Why did you buy pregnancy tests??"
-"MOM, we bought batteries!
-rain
-coldstones

etc.

and then i went with my parents to pick up dave and christina at el aeropuerto. i want them to get married and have a baby. that would be lots of fun.  apparently their respective grandparents like each other, and her grandma tried to fatten dave up which is always a good sign. she has a schizophrenic uncle so like, good, mix the schizophrenia genes. that's what my parents did, and we turned out well. dave and i are basically everyone's favorite grandchildren because we're so great.  and my wonderful aunt and uncle were sophisticated enough to make mildly racist comments in front of chirstina who is puerto rican. not that they said anything about puerto ricans, but they did about other latiiiinos.  but my grandpa was awesome as usual and let them sleep in the same bed because it was easier for him to only make one.  they said every relative they saw asked when they were getting married. haha. that's la familia i suppose.

i'm putting myself to bed.
g'niiiight bitches & hos.
